Central-bank pressers, decoded as they happen

For macro and rates analysts who cannot wait for the wrap-up note.

Panelytix turns a live central-bank press conference or policy speech into prompt-configured widgets that update in real time, tracking tone shifts, stated figures and policy language defined by the analyst. It is not a trading terminal, a market-data feed, or an investment-advice product — it analyses what was said, against the signals you told it to watch for, while the event is still running.

The window is minutes, not hours

The prepared statement is the easy part. What moves the interpretation is the press conference: how a commitment gets qualified, which number gets repeated, where the tone drifts from the last meeting. That signal lands in seconds, and the considered transcript analysis lands hours later.

How it works

Point Panelytix at the live press conference or speech audio, and configure widgets for the shifts you personally track. They update while the speaker is still talking.

Because the widgets carry your instructions, two analysts watching the same presser can be watching for completely different things — one on commitment language, another on the numbers versus expectations they came in with.

Example widgets

  • Policy stance — a hawkish-to-dovish read with the phrases driving it.
  • Numbers (as stated) — figures actually said aloud, logged once each.
  • Policy-change language — fires only when commitment language shifts, and requires the verbatim quote.
  • Notable quotes — the lines worth carrying into a note.
  • Q&A tracker — one entry per exchange, so you can see which question got a real answer.

Reporting only what was said

These widgets report the content of the event. They do not invent market expectations, price reactions, or consensus figures, and they carry no execution or advisory capability. If you want a figure compared against your own expectation, put that expectation into the widget's prompt — it becomes part of what the widget watches for.

Frequently asked questions

Does Panelytix provide market data or trade signals?
No. Panelytix analyses the live audio of public events against your own configured prompts; it does not provide market data, execution, or advice.
What kinds of events can it monitor?
Any event whose audio you can play through your computer, including central-bank press conferences, policy speeches and live news streams. Public broadcast events are the natural fit for this use case.
How is this different from reading the statement?
The statement is the prepared text; the press conference is where commitment language softens and figures get qualified. Panelytix tracks those shifts as they are spoken, rather than after a transcript is published.
