Research sessions
See the themes while the session is still running
For market researchers and UX researchers running interviews and focus groups.
Panelytix gives researchers a live, prompt-configured dashboard during interviews and focus groups: themes, contradictions, verbatim quotes and suggested follow-up probes update in real time during the session the researcher is running. The point is to surface the probe worth asking before the session ends, rather than during analysis two days later.
The best follow-up question arrives two days too late
Every researcher knows the feeling: during analysis, a contradiction jumps out between something said in minute six and something said in minute thirty-one — and the participant left days ago. The probe that would have resolved it is no longer available at any price.
How it works
Run your interview or focus group with Panelytix listening. Configure the widgets with your discussion guide and the questions the study is meant to answer. During the session they track coverage, surface themes as they emerge, and flag the moments worth probing.
The moderator's attention stays on the participant. The dashboard is peripheral vision — something to glance at between questions, not another thing to read.
Example widgets
- Guide coverage — your discussion guide as a live checklist, so you can see what has not been covered while there is still time to cover it.
- Emerging themes — themes with a sense of how strongly they are showing up.
- Contradictions — an earlier statement set against a later one, with both quotes, across the whole session.
- Verbatim quotes — the participant's own words, captured as they are said.
- Suggested probes — ranked to fill the guide topics still uncovered.
What it is not
Panelytix analyses live session audio against your configured prompts. It does not replace analysis, code a transcript for you, or process recordings after the fact, and it makes no claim about participant consent or research ethics — those remain entirely yours to manage.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I analyse session recordings afterwards?
- Panelytix works on live sessions today. Uploading a recording for after-the-fact analysis is not supported yet.
- How does it know what to look for?
- You configure the widgets with your own discussion guide and research questions in plain English, so coverage and probes are tracked against the guide you actually wrote rather than a generic template.
- Does it replace analysis?
- No. It surfaces themes, contradictions and quotes during the session so you can steer it better. Full analysis still happens afterwards, with the benefit of a session that asked better questions.
